This site is a representation of the creative work that I love and strive to do more of daily. More often than not our busy lives get in the way of us exercising our creative minds. I made an oath to myself to engage in something creative every day, and this is the result. Not to mention, I'm a happier person because it!
I was born in Santa Rosa, CA on Friday, February 13th, 1987. Ever since then I've never been normal! At the age of 2 years old my family moved to Colorado where I grew to love the outdoors at a very young age. Camping, hiking, skiing, and fishing have remained staple activities in my life ever since then. Throughout middle school and high school my family lived in Park City, UT where my love for the mountains and outdoor activities was solidified. During this part of my adolescence I began to uncover my creative love for art, music, and poetry. In 2005 I graduated high school and moved away from home to attend school at San Diego State University. During my first year in college I joined an internship program that changed my life. As an intern I was guided in starting a house painting business and operating it for 12 months. This opened my eyes to the possibilities of what I really wanted to do with my career. Immediately following that I was brought on as an intern with Sector 9 Skateboard Co. I worked the next 9 years for Sector 9 as the Social Media Manager, Marketing Coordinator, Marketing Manager, and eventually the Marketing Director. During this time at Sector 9, I also completed my degree and received my BA in Economics from SDSU. While working for Sector 9 I also gained invaluable knowledge of marketing, brand building, and photography/videography. I was able to build an expansive network of talented creators, athletes, musicians, celebrities, and decision makers. Following my tenure at Sector 9, I chased my entrepreneurial dreams and started my own boutique creative agency. I quickly was able to build a list of clients that spanned Skateboard, Action Sports, Music & Entertainment, as well as Non-Profits and other local community organizations. During these 5 years being self employed my creative skills were honed even further, also picking up numerous new techiques and talents along the way. Then came 2020… we all know what happened then. The music industry and all of my client work was put on hold so I was forced to reconsider. Since then, I am excited to report that I have re-entered the brand world. I have had the pleasure of bringing my skillsets in marketing, branding, and content to continue building on the already storied legacy of Matador Equipment. Currently working as the Marketing and Content Manager at this excitingly innovative brand, has re-sparked my love for brand building and community building around a product or business. The next steps in my creative journey are unclear… but I do know that I will be keeping the juices flowing!
